Called to Let Go: How Obedience Led Me to Start This Blog

A New Beginning

In May 2022, I stepped into a role I never anticipated: a pastor’s wife. I got married on May 28, and the same week we returned from our weekend honeymoon, I began serving as the kids director and youth pastor. I served faithfully in both roles for six months before I was officially given the position. During this time, I also led a women’s ministry and small group. Over the span of three years, we grew in numbers, knowledge, and faith. We built a small community of women led by faith—finding support in one another, in prayer, and most importantly, in God.

But just a few Sundays ago, everything shifted. My husband and I felt God stirring something new in our hearts. With no backup plan or next church lined up, we obeyed. We stepped out in faith. That step birthed this space. Lilly Made by Faith isn’t just a blog—it’s a living, breathing testimony.

A Place to Sit With Jesus

This blog was created to help you—and me—cultivate a deeper relationship with Jesus. It’s a space to pause, reflect, and be real. A place where motherhood, marriage, and ministry all meet at the feet of Jesus. I believe our stories carry healing. They speak when words fall short. And this is mine. Worship is where He meets me. It’s where He reminds me who I am and, more importantly, who's I am. In the quiet of His presence, I’ve found clarity, healing, and purpose. I pray this space becomes a place where you sit with Jesus and let Him speak into your life.

Why Now? Why a Blog?

Because God wouldn't let me keep silent anymore.

I’m a digital business mentor, teaching moms how to make $900 daily from home. But beyond business and strategy, there was a deeper story waiting to be shared—one of surrender, obedience, and wild faith. I knew I needed to build something for Him, not just from Him.

This blog. This ministry. This movement—it’s all His.

Motherhood, Marriage & Ministry

Motherhood has stretched and shaped me in ways I never saw coming. My son is full of life and joy, and being his mama is one of my greatest honors. I was a single mom during pregnancy and his early years. Now, as a wife to a godly man, I see the grace and redemption of God every single day. Marriage has refined me. Ministry has humbled me. And Jesus has anchored me through it all.

A Dreamer With a Big God

I’m a dreamer at heart. I sew. I sketch. I design invitations, graphics, and devotionals. If it involves creativity and coffee, I’m in! (And yes, I’ll drink it hot or iced—any time of day.) I love going deep with people, talking about faith, and seeing women rise in their God-given purpose.

Soon, I’ll be launching a monthly devotional email for subscribers because I believe God is raising up women who will pray, build, and lead in this season.
